Department of Economics
Starting its historical run in 1972,the Department of Economics,St.Dominic’s College Kanjirapally has stood apart in its overall performance. The Department boasts of being one among the few, which was allotted PG course by the University at its initial phase, in 1981.
The Department also handles subsidiary subjects like Political Science and History. Ever since its inception,the Department has been actively conducting relevant discussions related to national and regional economy. Interaction sessions and invited lectures have been regularly organized.
Several cultural programmes, quiz competitions, debates, presentations and seminars are conducted annually under the auspices of the department. Population Education Club (PEC) is an initiative taken up by the department with a motive to promote social commitment among students. Major initiative under PEC include the conduct of medical camps and socio-economic surveys.
